Islay Island and the Lowlands of Scotland

Scotches from Islay Island are home to the peated beasts. They are complex and layered with notes of moss, smoke, salt, pepper to purity, carbolic to floral palate. Islay Islands are the most southern part of the Inner Hebrides, the higher rain climate leads to full bodied Scotch’s. The Lowlands produce spirits doted on by lovers of the aperitif and mellow briny malts with lovely citrus edges.

Speyside

Speyside scotches are known for being frugal with Peat and full of fruit and nut. Apple, pear, honey, vanilla and spice all have a part in the expression of this region. This region sits in a fertile valley of rivers and glens and is home to over half of Scotland’s distilleries.

The Highlands

This region takes on a huge diversity of flavors and characteristics. From the lighter sides all the way to salty costal malts. These Scotches are most commonly associated with silky floral notes, with strong peaty flavors complimenting the dry oak and fruit cake finish.
